Sales and Strategy Analyst

Job Purpose

As a Sales and Strategy Analyst, you will be instrumental in driving business success by analysing sales data, create sales forecasts, and make recommendations to optimize sales activities and increase market share.

We are looking for a sales analyst to join our team. The sales analyst will be responsible for compiling and analysing sales and market data and providing valuable feedback and actionable insights to guide our promotional and sales activities. To be successful as a sales analyst you should be able to analyse large amounts of sales data, accurately project sales trends, identify sales opportunities, and provide practical guidance to optimize and systematize sales strategies and increase market share. The role will support the entire Marketing, Shared Service and Operations business units, focusing on compiling sales data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compiling, analysing, and reporting sales data.
  • Monitoring and analysing competitive activity, customer, and market trends.
  • Utilise data analysis tools and techniques to generate reports and dashboards.
  • Providing actionable insights to guide the sales and marketing teams.
  • Contributing to the development of sales plans and objectives.
  • Market research to stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
  • Monitoring and evaluating sales performance.
  • Forecasting demand, revenue, and expenses.
  • Determining sales potential and making recommendations for further sales enhancements.
  • Collaborate and work closely with the sales marketing team to understand their needs and challenges.
  • Effectively communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment with overall business goals.

Qualifications

  • Degree in business administration, finance, or marketing.
  • Experience in Senior Leadership/Stakeholder management is required for this role.
  • Proven experience in sales analysis, preferably with 5 years’ experience within the relevant role.
  • Experienced working with Australian business will be preferred.
  • Experience in the retail and/or business process outsourcing industry will be advantageous.
  • Strong research and data analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office and CRM software.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
