Mortgage Loan Processor

We are looking for someone to join our team as a Mortgage Admin Specialist that will play an important and crucial role in the mortgage lending process. Mortgage Admin Specialist will be responsible for proactively providing an exemplary level of service to our clients from lead through to approval, maintenance and reviews.

Required Skills

Candidate/s should have a strong motivation to help people live a better life. We are interested in anyone who is reliable, motivated, and has 5+ years’ experience within a New Zealand / Australia mortgage specialist environment. Their job description typically includes the following responsibilities:

  • Receive qualified, warm leads
  • Handle new enquiries and understanding client needs
  • Take detailed briefs of client lending requirements and ensure all background information is sourced
  • Perform preliminary credit assessments and evaluating potential loan serviceability
  • Explore various lending solutions relevant to the client’s needs and financial position
  • Present and workshop loan structures with lenders where applicable
  • Verify and submit credit applications through to unconditional approval 100% adherence to compliance AML & company guidelines
  • Prepare Mortgage Statement of Advice 
  • Ability to build genuine and sustainable relationships with potential, new and existing clients.
  • Effective communication skills in both written and verbal with an excellent phone and online manner.
  • Strong negotiation skills that are motivated to aim and get the best result possible for our clients.
  • A customer-centric approach to all actions and decisions.
  • Ability to work with KPI’s – being able to work under pressure and meeting deadlines is a must.
  • Ability to quickly transition into role and do the job straightaway.

Education

  • Bachelor / College Degree or equivalent business or finance experience in lieu of education

Knowledge & Experience

  • 5 years’ experience within a banking or broking environment
  • Residential lending exposure (essential) for all main banks Second tier lending experience will be an added qualification
  • Commercial lending exposure (an advantage)
  • Has a customer centric approach and practical approach to problem solving
  • Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
  • Eye for detail and improving efficiencies
  • Ability to transition to role and do the job straightaway
  • Extremely good telephone manner and ability to engage with clients/lenders over the phone
  • Already exposed to each bank lending criteria & guidelines or self-learner in quick time
